I am here for all the girly outfits and Valentine’s looks for Galentine’s parties, date night, etc. that happen around this time of year. I love mixing red/pink into my wardrobe to add pops of color to my otherwise pretty neutral winter pieces. I thought it would be fun to style a midi skirt 2 ways for y’all, one dressed down for a daytime look and one dressed up for more of a night out look. Read below for how I styled this olive midi skirt 2 ways!
This olive satin midi skirt is such a fun piece to have in your closet. The color really makes a statement but it is simple enough to pair with a lot of different tops. For this first look, I wanted to add some fun accessories and pieces to dress the skirt down. I absolutely LOVE wearing fashion tennies with dresses and midi skirts, it makes it comfy, practical and chic. A good graphic tee can be the easiest way to dress down a skirt, just front tuck it and add your favorite jacket! The bright red tee with pink font paired surprisingly well with this olive skirt which is a combo I might not usually go for. I love testing out new combinations of patterns and colors to broaden my style! To finish off my daytime vday look, I threw on my white tennies and a fun hair accessory, this pearl black headband! Read on for how I dressed this skirt up.
Switch out your tee and tennies for a dressy blouse and your favorite heels and you are ready for a night out with your girls or that special someone. This heart print bell sleeved blouse brings my all the vday vibes while keeping it neutral. I love it paired with this olive skirt for a dressier, neutral look. To still keep it festive, I wore my favorite bright red lipstick for a little POP! These black strappy heels are such a statement and tie in the black in my top! This looks screams date night to me. Shop both looks below!
So which is your favorite?! To dress down or to dress up, that is the real question.
XOXO, LPOC
Send some love!
