T W O!
I cannot believe it has been two years since I created my little blog. I started it as a way to express myself in a way that was different, somewhat scary, and intimidating and it has turned into my escape, my outlet, and something I am incredibly proud of. I wanted to share this look with y’all and share about all of my blogging ups/downs and what keeps me going after two years…Read below!
I have found that fashion blogging is incredibly competitive because every other girl is doing it. It is hard to stand out, it is hard to be unique, which makes it so easy to give up or continually compare yourself to others. That is what I have struggled with atleast, the constant comparison to other bloggers that “have more followers” or “work with brands more” than me and it has done nothing but make me question myself as a blogger and want to just give it all up. What keeps me going is the reason I started this Little Piece of Chic in the first place, fashion is something I am very passionate about and writing is my way to escape, so when I combined the two into blogging about something I am so passionate about, I felt at home. I still have so much growth and things to learn about this whole blogging thing but I am loving the opportunities it has brought me, the friends I have made, and the things I have learned along the way. If you are questioning starting a blog, or contemplating giving yours up, just remember to be yourself, and STOP comparing yourself to anyone else but you. I have found my outlet here at www.littlepieceofchic.com, where is yours?
This look is the perfect transition into fall with its neutral colors. For my second blogiversary, I decided to dress up my look with this black romper from Zara and these brown wedges that dressed up my look just enough. I just love this time of year because you can start slowly transitioning your wardrobe into fall with a few simple changes. 1. Less color, more neutrals. 2. Layer.
As far as necessories for this look go, I wore my Rocksbox set that I had to buy because I loved it that much. These two pieces from Kendra Scott added the perfect amount of color to my very neutral look and still kept it dressy. I finished it off with this snakeskin cross body bag that I got from Thred Up, the best online resale shop I’ve ever come across. This bag is Hobo brand and it was brand new with tags for $50 dollars! Head on over to https://www.thredup.com to find some amazing deals like this one.
Thank you so much for these past two years of support and encouragement that has brought me to this point. Please comment what you’d like to see in future posts! I would love some ideas from my favorite readers! Keep doing you and check back soon for another new look on LPOC!
XOXO, LPOC
