Mustard, green, and navy, OHYES! This color combination is something I’ve never put together before but I am happy with the way it turned out. During the winter, I wear a lot of grey, brown, and black. So from time to time, I throw some color into my look to spice things up. It feels so good to be blogging again after a busy, well spent holiday season. I am just now getting back into a routine again with work, blogging, and everything else after traveling and spending time with family and friends. Read below for how I styled my three favorite winter colors.

I love color blocking and putting things together that don’t necessarily go. This look started with this jacket. The jacket of all jackets. It is super warm, comfy, affordable, and adorable! I scored this jacket in the men’s clearance at Old Navy(even though it was women’s) for $30 instead of $70 because it was online only! SCORE. I decided to shake things up a bit and add some yellow with this look with my mustard sweater that I own in three colors, no shame. You would too if you felt it. It is super comfy and now on sale for 8 dollars in stores at Old Navy. I finished my look with my cuffed jeans and my favorite booties of the season, these chestnut gems.

I finished my look with my graduation gift, this rose gold Kate Spade tote that I love oh so much. It adds something fun to every outfit and I love it for that. Try adding a bit of color to your wintery wardrobe and you might just like it as much as I did.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve everyone! Cannot believe how fast Christmas has approached. If you are like me, you still have a few gifts left to buy today so I thought I’d help you out. Girls are somewhat easy to shop for because we are obvious about what we like(clothes, jewelry, etc). Guys on the other hand, I find hard to shop for. I find myself settling for a gift card and can never think of something new. Well, I brainstormed and came up with this gift GUYde for that special guy in your life. Boxers, beer, & beats, oh my. Gift Guide: For Her

Am I the only one that can’t believe Christmas is next week?! I think Thanksgiving should get pushed back to early November because there is just not enough time to fully prepare for Christmas. I need time to watch all the classic Christmas movies(ELF, Christmas Vacation, The Holiday), get my shopping done, drink hot cocoa, spend time with family and friends, and breathe?! That’d be awesome. & most importantly, remember what this time of year is actually about. It is so easy to get caught up in the giving part of this season. Giving is a wonderful thing but not when it takes you away from what this season is all about. I know that shopping for family and friends can be time consuming and exhausting. So I’m here to save you time so you can spend less time thinking of ideas and more time celebratin’ Jesus’ birthday! Here is what I think that special girl in your life ‘needs’. Or atleast these are all things I would love to have so maybe she would too.

I am sharing with you this outfit that I call my “power outfit” because I feel empowered and ready to rule the world in it(not really, but close enough). I am all about mixing patterns and stepping out of my comfort zone. I like to mix and match pieces from my closet that I wouldn’t typically put together. I personally feel that fashion is one of the best ways to express yourself and build your own self-confidence. I hear so many women everyday putting themselves down(me included), comparing ourselves to one another and never feeling good enough. Well, that needs to change. We need to stop this negativity and hate towards one another and instead, build each other up. Empower each other to be better, do better, and even dress better. I am blessed with many women in my life that have empowered me to work hard and believe I can be my own #girlboss. I was inspired to start my very own fashion blog after encouragement by my family and friends. My sister has recently become somewhat of a feminist and it has rubbed off on me. I have learned to expect and demand more out of society as a woman, especially for woman that don’t have the freedom to do so. Today, I challenge you to try something new, wear something out of your comfort zone, and remember to stand up for yourself and for those who can’t.

This fall weather is here to stay which means we can bring out all our fall clothes that have been dying to get out of our closet! During this time of year, I am always wearing browns, cremes, and grey. For this look, I wore exactly that! Read below for outfit details!

This entire look is from Old Navy. Y’all, I may be obsessed but for good reason. This entire outfit was under 50 dollars. I love the simple pieces you can find at Old Navy that are super versatile. This skirt is my favorite piece of this look. I love the mustard color and the pattern. This sweater has been my bff lately. I wear it over basically anything and everything! I finished the look with these tan suede booties from last season that are still in style this season!

As far as necessaries, I added some gold and browns. I wore my gold/tan fossil wrapped watch and my chestnut cross body bag. I finished my look with a nude statement necklace from…yep, you guessed it, Old Navy. Layers are your friend ladies! You never know what the weather will surprise you with!

falling in love

Y’all, it’s official. It’s been below 90 degrees for almost 5 days now, that must mean Texas has finally decided to join the rest of the country and start fall. I’m falling in love with the beautiful weather we have had recently and so is my closet. Bring out the booties and cardigans because fall is upon us. Read below for outfit details on my first fall look!

Thanks to Old Navy, I am ready for fall with this adorable floral dress. I love the greens and browns in it and it is the perfect dress for layering. I added this tan cardigan to throw on for the cooler days and nights and tied it around my waist to dress it down. I finished this look with these favorite booties of mine from last fall. They are really similar to Sam Edelman booties I have seen but I actually got them from the Old Navy clearance section for only 15 dollars! I have worn them a lot and haven’t gotten tired of them yet! The best thing to do in the fall is to layer, layer, layer. You never know what the weather will do so always have back up.

To finish the look, I added some simple necessories. This gold/tan fossil wrapped watch makes appearances almost everyday during fall/winter. I love the brown in it that always ties in with my boots. I also added a simple long tan pendant necklace that is also from Old Navy. Sorry if you don’t like Old Navy because it is about the only thing I wear. whoops. I kept my necessaries simple and neutral to tie in well with the sweater and booties. & that is how I ‘fall’, ladies & maybe gentleman.

Well, it’s mid October and we are still seeing the 90s here in Texas. All I want to do is wear sweaters, boots, and scarves, is that too much to ask…apparently. There is a ‘cold’ front coming through next week, might get down to the 70s…wow bring out the parkas. I know that once it gets freezing I’ll be complaining about how it’s too cold, but until then, I’ll complain that it’s too hot. Well anyway, rant over. This outfit is my go to for this awkward in between season. Read below for outfit details…

This look is super simple and versatile. These holy jeans are from Old Navy from last year and have made a comeback this fall. This top is also from Old Navy. I love the peplum look and the pattern is even cuter! I finished this look with some simple slip on sandals from TjMaxx to keep it casual. This look can be easily dressed up with some heeled booties and a floppy hat. You can throw on an army green jacket to keep warm if it ever cools down, hah. I finished with a simple necessory that makes a statement. This gold chain bib necklace was the perfect addition to this look and added something to make it pop!

Cheers to a long weekend! Are you headed anywhere fun? I am headed to Austin, TX this Saturday for weekend two of ACL with my sister and our friend! I cannot wait to eat my way through Austin and see so many bands I love live. When I travel, I like to keep it simple. I typically wear pants because I get cold easily! I like to wear tshirts and comfy pants like these! Read on for how I dress for the road/sky:

When I came across this graphic tee at Old Navy, I fell in love. I love the simplicity of it and the font. I also love that it says jetset making it the perfect travel shirt. I am a sucker for anything graphic tee and this one is the perfect color and it’s super comfy. I completed this look with these black linen flared pants that are also from Old Navy. I may or may not have them in three colors because they are that great. I finished it with these gold knock of birkenstocks that are the perfect road trip shoe to throw on.

As far as necessories, I wore my go to road trip accessories. These gold/brown Ray Bans never leave my side on a road trip. This striped tote is the perfect bag on the go because you can fit all your travel necessities in it. I completed my look with this gold/tortoise fossil watch.
